This was after the 30 day Amazon returns period, but I contacted them anyway, as it is clear that the drives were poorly packaged and were defective upon arrival. <br /> <br />They stood by their 30 day policy and told me to contact the manufacturer using the contact information listed in the manual (which doesn't exist). The device sat on a hard surface and was well-ventilated. It started with the red blinking lights a few weeks ago and I could not connect. Tried plugging it in directly to computer, tried over the network, tried letting it cool down for a few days, and tried resetting the unit. Nada. It was small to the point of drawing comments from many people, but still fast and very durable looking compared to many other tiny flash drives. The plastic USB connector is a bit weird looking, but I prefer it to the super thin drives that get rid of the shielding and expose the contacts. It's also narrow enough that it won't interfere with other USB devices on my MacBook, unlike the much cheaper Kingston and SanDisk drives. <br /> <br />I took off.. I have an all digital white euro themed room. <br />So this flat screen fits just perfect with my style and digi stuff. My TV arrived promptly and was easy to operate and it's play dvd's perfectly. Also I connected my laptop to the TV and it's really cool. For surround sound you can also connect the Toshiba dvd/combo to a Cambridge Soundworks through aux or a Bose system. Enjoy!..
