The Vivitar DVR-510 is designed as an entry-level handy cam, equipped with a 5.0-megapixels CCD sensor. The camera delivers good quality, 2,560-by-1,920 resolution images. Other features provided by the DVR-510 include a USB connection (USB 2.0 compliant) where still images, video clips, or audio recording files that you have recorded can be downloaded to your computer using the USB cable (a USB driver is required for Win 98 and Win98 SE). In addition to still image and video, your DVR-510 can act as a voice recorder, MP3 player and PC camera. You can connect the camera directly to a printer that supports PictBridge and perform image selection and printing using the camera's monitor screen and controls.

With the provided VideoStudio editing software you can enhance and retouch your images on your computer by using the provided editing software. An auto flash sensor automatically detects the shooting (lighting) conditions and determines whether the flash should be used. Other features include 2.0-inch LTPS color image LCD monitor, 1x to 8x digital zoom, 32MB internal (built-in) memory (24MB available for image storage) so images can be captured without using a memory card, support for SD memory card for memory expansion and you may wish to expand the memory capacity (up to 1GB) by using an external memory card.
